This 72 year-old is not disillusioned by his white privilege; in fact, he is well aware that as a white man, he is far less likely to be suspected as an Uber driver than his black counterparts. This does not mean that he hasn’t been impounded before for not having a permit to drive Uber in the city; he’s just had less of a struggle coming by the money to retrieve his vehicle.
